Labour MP and shadow chancellor Ed Balls admitted being caught speeding on the M62 at Morley in Yorkshire recently, after his Conservative opposition counterpart George Osborne was caught parking his car in a disabled parking spot. Admitting his mistake, he said that he was "going too far, too fast, you might say". Balls was fined and sent on a speed awareness course to avoid having points on his licence, something that many campaigners say is a worthwhile and valuable compromise.
