The new destinations, Paris, Milan, Amsterdam and Geneva will be aimed primarily towards business travellers, and will offer travellers an additional fifty flights from Cambridge Airport, and will be operated by Swiss company Darwin Airline using 50-seater SAAB 200 aircraft according to the BBC. The group support executive for Marshall Cambridge commented on the announcement, saying, "Cambridge is a very rapidly expanding city with a strong demand for business travel and inward investment", and that the new routes would give passengers a "focused, niche, quality business air travel service". The new flights will provide a quick and efficient alternative to other passengers who typically use Stansted and Heathrow airports.
