Bristol investigates traffic congestion charge
The mayor of Bristol has introduced a study that will investigate the possibility of introducing a traffic congestion charge to help with the growing traffic problems in the city.

George Ferguson, the city's mayor said that his main priority was to tackle commuter parking, although he was "open to every single possible way of making Bristol move", including the introduction of a congestion zone. Not everyone agrees with the plans. The RAC said that Bristol's economic livelihood would be affected by a congestion charge, and that it would have a negative impact on motorists and commuters into the city. Bristol suffers from one of the slowest average speeds outside London. The average traffic speed in the city are just 16mph.
