£112,000 compensation due to Boris Bikes
A total of £112,000 has been paid out in compensation due to injury and property damage by Boris Bikes.

Transport for London (TfL) has said that in total, £112,420.84 has been paid out in compensation since the scheme was launched in July 2010. Nine claims were made for property damage caused by the bikes, run by Barclays Hire, and 43 for property damage. Eleven of these were still to be resolved. The compensation figures were revealed after a request under the Freedom of Information Act, after a death of a bike rider who collided with a lorry in London.
