Listing of the liquid explosive detection systems approved by the Department for Transport for use in aviation security.

The LEDS detect explosive material that is in liquid form.

Published 19 August 2013 Last updated 10 October 2023 + show all updates 10 October 2023 Two new configurations added.

16 February 2022 List updated with 3 new equipment configurations added from Rapiscan, 1 new equipment configuration added from Smiths Detection, 28 updated equipment configurations added from Smiths Detection, 2 updated equipment configurations added from Agilent Technologies and 2 corrected entries added from Smiths Detection. Formatting has been set to mirror ECAC descriptors.

29 March 2021 Added new equipment configurations to the list from CEIA and Smiths Detection, and updated entries from Smiths Detection.

15 February 2021 Amended with 2 updated entries for Smiths Detection.

21 December 2020 Added new equipment configuration from Rapiscan and Smiths Detection.

22 October 2020 2 new equipment configurations from Agilent Technologies (Previously: Cobalt Light Systems) have been added to the list. 2 new equipment configurations from Rapiscan have also been added.

21 May 2020 Rebrand of System Two to Veriteque USA, Inc including and from S2LETK to SwabTek LETK. Equipment configurations added for X-Ray Center, Veriteque USA, Inc, Kumahira Co. Ltd and Nuctech.
