Caution Flood AlertThe River Colne has started to respond to rain that has been falling overnight and river levels are rising in the Colney Heath area. We expect to see levels rise in London Colney later in the day but should not cause any flooding problems here. Rivers in other areas will also rise but should remain within their banks. Rain will continue throughout most of the day although it will be mostly light steady rain and unlikely to cause rapid increases in river level. At Colney Heath, the river will rise steadily during the day and may cause some flooding to low lying land and gardens near the river. We are not expecting any flooding to properties at this stage in any area but we will monitor the situation and update this information if anything changes.
This information will be updated this evening
